Job Description

Are you an experienced, qualified social worker ready to make a real difference for children and families in Liverpool? We are seeking a Childrens Advanced Practitioner to join Liverpool Children’s Services within their Safeguarding teams — at a pivotal and exciting time for the service.

Liverpool Children’s Services boasts a high-quality senior leadership team committed to collaborative practice improvement. You will join a supportive, stable team with permanent managers at every level, working alongside family support workers, a Family Group Conference Service, and an extensive Early Help offer.

Key responsibilities include managing complex safeguarding cases, applying strong court skills, and demonstrating a proven track record in child protection practice. Candidates must have a minimum of three years’ post-qualifying experience and have completed their ASYE.

The role offers up to £40 per hour (Ltd), a 35-hour working week, and a hybrid model requiring three days per week in Liverpool (L7 1PH). An initial three-month minimum contract provides stability, with ICT kit and support provided. A car driver with access to a vehicle is essential.
