Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Childrens Advanced Practitioner to join Liverpool Children’s Services within their Permanence Team, offering a competitive rate of £40 per hour (umbrella/Ltd).

In this role you will hold a caseload focused on Children in Care and Children Looked After, applying excellent direct working skills with children and young people. You will lead on care and placement planning, minimise risk through a methodical and organised approach, and champion long-term improved outcomes. A strong understanding of Corporate Parenting legislation and Children Looked After processes is essential, as is ensuring stable, individually appropriate placements.

The working pattern is three days on site in Liverpool and two days working from home per week.

To be considered, candidates must hold a recognised social work qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and have a minimum of three years post-qualifying statutory social work experience. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential. Please note that candidates currently leaving a permanent social work role in the North West region must demonstrate a minimum three-month gap before being eligible.
