An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Advanced Practitioner to join the Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team in Knowsley, Merseyside. Based at Westmorland Road, Huyton, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference to some of the most vulnerable children and young people in the borough.
As an Advanced Practitioner within the CWD Team, you will hold a complex caseload of children with disabilities, providing expert assessment, intervention, and ongoing support to children and their families. You will act as a source of professional expertise and mentorship to colleagues, contributing to the development of best practice across the team.
Key responsibilities include undertaking comprehensive assessments of children with disabilities and their families, managing risk and safeguarding concerns, contributing to care planning and reviews, and working collaboratively with multi-agency partners including health, education, and specialist services.
The successful candidate will be a Social Work England registered social worker holding a recognised social work qualification (BA/MA Social Work or equivalent), with substantial post-qualifying experience in children’s services and a demonstrable background working with children with disabilities or complex needs.
