Job Description
Liverpool City Council is seeking a Business Support Officer to join their Adult Learning service, based at Wavertree Road, Liverpool (L7 1PH). This is a temporary contract paying £104.51–£137.43 per day, starting 15 July 2026.
Working within the Employment and Skills business unit, you will provide a flexible and efficient administrative support function across Community Services. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records on service-critical ICT systems (including Liquid Logic, Civica, ChildView, and others), processing and progressing documentation, coordinating committee reports and minuting meetings, and providing day-to-day systems administration. You will also act as PA to the Assistant Director and provide cover for the Director’s PA when required.
The essential criteria include a relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience, proficiency in Microsoft Word, spreadsheets and databases, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a commitment to equal opportunities and Liverpool City Council’s values. Experience in administration practices, customer care, and front-line service delivery is required.
