Job Description
Semester Recruitment is seeking a Specialist Housing Occupational Therapist for Liverpool City Council’s Adult Access service area, based at Parklands, Speke (Cunard Building, Liverpool L2 2BS). This is a hybrid role paying £30.00–£40.13 per hour, available from 8 June 2026.
Working within the Adult Social Care directorate, you will carry out strength-based assessments for adults with disabilities under the Care Act 2014 framework, recommending and organising equipment and structural adaptations to promote independent living, prevent hospital admission, and reduce the need for long-term residential care. You will manage a diverse caseload, maintain accurate electronic social care records, and liaise with statutory, voluntary, and community stakeholders to deliver joined-up services.
You will hold clinical responsibility for Occupational Therapy Assistants and support students on placement, contributing to the development of OT assessment functions within the service. The role requires up-to-date knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Manual Handling assessment techniques, and compliance with Allied Health Professions Council standards.
