Job Description

Powys County Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker for a remote-working interim engagement, available from 3 August 2026. The rate is £29.22–£38.28 per hour (via Prism).

The council is looking for candidates who can start without delay and commit to a minimum of three months. Experience in Front Door (FD) work is preferred but not essential — candidates with the right skills and broader senior social work experience will be considered.

This is a remote role covering Powys, a large rural county in mid-Wales spanning towns including Brecon, Builth Wells, Llandrindod Wells, Newtown, and Welshpool.
