Job Description

Barnet Council is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Practitioner to cover a one-year maternity leave for the Lead Practitioner role within the West Locality Occupational Therapy Team, based in Colindale, NW9.

This long-term complex team focuses primarily on major adaptations via the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) pathway, alongside the assessment and provision of complex equipment, including manual handling solutions, with a focus on supporting service users to remain safe and independent at home.

Key responsibilities include day-to-day team leadership, supervision of up to three staff, delivery of complex Care Act assessments, and ensuring professional standards and best practice are maintained across the team.

Applicants must be HCPC-registered Occupational Therapists with strong experience in complex assessments, relevant legislation (Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, DFG), supervision, and manual handling.
