Job Description

Barnet Council requires a specialist CPO Lead to provide assurance, oversight and coordination of Compulsory Purchase Order workstreams for the Brent Cross Cricklewood Regeneration Programme. Key responsibilities include settling outstanding compensation claims, managing potential references to the Upper Tribunal, and supporting wider land and property matters such as disposals, infrastructure leases and licences. The role involves commissioning and clienting commercial and property advice from Council services or external consultants, managing and coordinating external advisers, and providing land and property workstream assurance, reporting, governance input and risk management. This is a senior, specialist assignment suited to an experienced CPO professional with a strong background in land and property regeneration programmes.
