Job Description

Barnsley’s Assessment and Duty service is seeking a highly motivated Advanced Practitioner to join one of four Assessment Teams, co-located with police at Wombwell Police Station, delivering short-term Child in Need plans that consider need and risk with a focus on timely, quality assessments. Any ongoing CIN planning remains allocated to ensure families receive consistency of worker. You will be a qualified social worker with significant experience of statutory children’s social work, able to deliver reflective supervision, mentor students and NQSWs, and drive positive change for vulnerable children in partnership with families and agencies. The team offers manageable spans of control, high-quality regular supervision, a nurturing senior management team, and flexible working.
