Duty and Assessment Social Worker
Dept – FDAA MASH D&A Fylde & Bay Area Lancaster
Location – White Cross- Lancaster
Interviews – ASAP
ALL CANDIDATES MUST
• have at least three years’ experience in a permanent post within a local authority
• not have held a permanent or fixed-term position with an LA within the last 12 weeks
Complete timely, structured and analytical assessments, carrying out purposeful home visits and keeping families informed throughout. Identify, analyse and respond to safeguarding risks, contributing to strategy discussions and child protection processes. Build trusting, effective relationships with children and families using a trauma‑informed, child‑centred and strength‑based approach. Work collaboratively with partner agencies to support coordinated planning and effective information‑sharing. Maintain accurate, timely case records and ensure all documentation meets required standards. Manage workload effectively within statutory and local timescales. Participate in reflective supervision, ongoing learning, and development activities, and contribute positively to a supportive, collaborative and reflective team culture.
