Knowsley Council is making a significant investment in its workforce through increasing permanent capacity within core service areas. Agency social workers are sought to support three teams — Child Protection, Cared for Children, and Children with Disabilities — whilst permanent recruitment is ongoing.

The role is based at Nutgrove Villa, Huyton, Merseyside (L36 6GA), with a requirement to attend your work base at least three days per week. The rate is £23.75–£31.15 per hour, with a start date of 4 September 2026.

Requirements: registered Social Worker with Social Work England, passionate about achieving positive lasting outcomes for children and families, and a confident communicator who builds trust and meaningful relationships.
