Job Description

Powys County Council is seeking a qualified Children’s Social Worker to join its Care and Support service, based at County Hall, Llandrindod Wells, Powys (LD1 5LG). This is a locum position paying £29.34–£38.43 per hour via Prism, available from 8 June 2026. Powys is a large rural county in mid-Wales; candidates should be comfortable covering dispersed communities across the area. If you hold a recognised social work qualification, are registered with Social Work England, and have experience in children’s care and support, please get in touch.
