Job Description
A qualified and experienced Senior Social Worker is required for Durham County Council’s busy Front Door service, based in Newton Aycliffe (DL5 6ZE). This is a fast-paced front-line role working within the statutory children’s service, carrying out contacts to determine whether statutory intervention is required or whether cases can be closed. Prior experience of front door / duty and assessment work is essential. The role is offered on a locum basis at £32.73 per hour via Comensura, with a start date of 15 June 2026. Candidates must be able to travel to Newton Aycliffe. If you hold a recognised social work qualification, are registered with Social Work England, and have relevant front door experience, please get in touch.
