Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Childrens Advanced Practitioner to join the Families First Team based at Bishop Auckland Bale Centre One Point Hub, DL14 6QW, working with Durham County Council.

This role will see you working alongside the team manager and social work consultant, providing additional stability and support to the team while holding your own caseload. You will play a key part in driving practice standards and supporting less experienced colleagues within the team.

The post is available from 14 June 2026 on an ongoing basis, offering a rate of £35.45 per hour via the Comensura framework.

To be considered, you must hold a recognised social work qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and have demonstrable experience at advanced practitioner level within a children’s social care setting.
