Job Description

Wrexham County Borough Council’s Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Team is seeking a confident and well-organised Business Support Assistant to join their busy administrative function on a temporary basis. The team carries out statutory duties under the ALN Code for Wales, working closely with families, schools, and professional agencies to support children with additional learning needs.

In this role you will use database systems to check, update, and record pupil information with a high level of accuracy; produce and issue correspondence, letters, and documentation within agreed timescales; co-ordinate meetings and help the team meet key deadlines; handle telephone enquiries and deliver excellent customer service; and carry out a range of general office and administrative duties.

The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, able to work independently, and comfortable contributing to a supportive team environment. Strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and confidence using IT systems are essential.

This role is based in Wrexham (LL11 1AR) and is available from 14 September 2026 at a rate of £13.26–£17.15 per hour via the Prism portal.
