Job Description
Liverpool City Council is seeking a Young Ambassador to join their Children and Young People’s Services team, based at the Cunard Building, Liverpool. This is a sessional role offering up to 10 flexible hours per month at £14.02 per hour, starting 22 June 2026.
This unique opportunity is open to passionate young people aged 16–25 who have personal experience of receiving support from Children and Young People’s Services. You will use your lived experience to help shape and improve services for other children and young people across Liverpool.
As a Young Ambassador you will contribute to the Quality Assurance Framework by reviewing practice and providing feedback, mentor senior leaders, support staff training and recruitment, and represent young people’s views at strategic meetings including Corporate Parenting Board sub-groups.
You do not need extensive professional experience — your ideas, lived experience, and willingness to make a difference are what matter most. Liverpool City Council will provide a full induction, ongoing training, and supervision, alongside opportunities to build skills in public speaking, teamwork, leadership, and project work.
