Job Description

Rochdale Borough Council’s Community Occupational Therapy Team and Moving and Handling Service are seeking two experienced Occupational Therapists to join a large, supportive, and friendly multidisciplinary team based in Rochdale (OL16 1XU).

In this role you will manage your own caseload within an Adult Social Care setting, undertake duty work as part of the wider team, and deliver specialist assessment and intervention focusing on equipment provision, housing adaptations, and moving and handling. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to support individuals with a range of needs including physical disabilities and frailty.

Applicants must have experience in Community Occupational Therapy, strong knowledge of equipment provision and housing adaptations, confidence in moving and handling practices, a good working knowledge of the Care Act, and experience supporting adults with physical disabilities and frailty.

You will receive regular supervision and professional support from an Advanced Practitioner, with ongoing opportunities to develop skills across both Community OT and Moving and Handling services.

Two posts available. Rate: £30 per hour. Start date: 22 June 2026. Contract to 21 December 2026.
