Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide essential one-to-one support to a male resident in temporary accommodation in Middlesbrough (TS1). This is a frontline role offering genuine impact for a vulnerable individual who requires consistent, compassionate support in a temporary housing setting.

Working within a social care environment, you will provide practical and emotional support, helping the individual to maintain stability, develop independent living skills, and engage with wider services as appropriate. The role demands a calm, professional approach and the ability to build meaningful, trusting relationships.

Key responsibilities will include day-to-day support with personal care and daily living activities, encouraging independence, supporting the individual to access community resources, and maintaining accurate records in line with service standards. You will work as part of a wider support network, liaising with accommodation staff and other professionals involved in the individual’s care.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a support work or social care setting, preferably working with adults in temporary or supported accommodation. An understanding of the challenges faced by individuals experiencing housing instability is essential.

The role is based at Fountain Court, Middlesbrough, TS1, and is available from 26 April 2026 at a rate of £19.70 per hour via the Comensura framework. An enhanced DBS check will be required.
