Job Description

Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) is recruiting a Support Worker for their Care and Support service in Shepshed, Leicestershire (LE12 9AD). This is a community and project-based role within the Homes and Wellbeing directorate, paying £90.35–£119.43 per day, starting 15 June 2026.

You will support adults to live as independently as possible, respecting their dignity and rights. Day-to-day responsibilities include devising and implementing individual care and support plans with risk assessments, key working named service users, assisting with budgeting, cooking and domestic tasks, administering medications, and supporting access to work, education, leisure and community life. You will maintain accurate records using NCHA IT systems and paper records, uphold safeguarding responsibilities for adults at risk, and maintain a safe, healthy environment for service users and colleagues.

The role involves key holding, coordinating shift staff and handling money. Experience supporting individuals living with mental health needs towards greater independence is particularly valued. The post requires an Enhanced DBS with barred list check and involves working on a rota including bank holidays, weekends, and potentially night or sleeping-in duties.
