Job Description
Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) is seeking an experienced Support Worker for their Care and Support service, based at 113 Highfield Street, Coalville, Leicestershire (LE67 3BZ). This is a project and community-based role within the Homes and Wellbeing directorate, paying £90.35–£119.43 per day, available from 15 June 2026.
The role focuses on supporting individuals — particularly young people aged 18 to 25 with a learning disability or mental health diagnosis — to live as independently as possible, make informed choices, and maintain their dignity and rights.
Key responsibilities include devising and reviewing individual care and support plans with risk assessments; key-working named service users; supporting with medication administration, personal care prompts, budgeting, cooking, and domestic tasks; assisting individuals to access work, education, training, and leisure activities; safeguarding adults and children at risk of abuse or neglect; maintaining accurate records via NCHA IT systems; and responding to health and safety issues including emergency procedures.
The role operates on a rota and shift system, including bank holidays, weekends, and may include night-time working and sleeping-in duties. An Enhanced DBS with barred list check is required.
