Social Work Coordinator – Admin & Clerical – #OR101280

May 1, 2026
£155 - £202 / day

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Work Coordinator (SWC) to join a busy children and families social work team in Islington, North London, paying between £154.98 and £202.34 per day.

As a para-professional in this role, your primary function is to provide enhanced administrative support that directly enables frontline practice. Your contribution is critical in ensuring child and family social workers can focus their time on helping families safeguard children effectively.

Key responsibilities include acting as the first point of contact for the team, receiving and directing queries from colleagues, service users, and external professionals. You will anticipate the planning and preparation required ahead of a wide range of meetings involving families and other professionals, manage the team calendar to track all meetings across the service, and help social workers stay organised and on top of their caseload priorities.

The ideal candidate will bring a high level of understanding of frontline children and families social work, enabling you to provide genuinely informed and proactive support rather than routine administration. You will be an experienced administrator with strong organisational and communication skills, able to work at pace in a pressured environment.

Based at 222 Upper Street, Islington, this role is available from 1 June 2026 via the Prism portal. If you are a skilled administrator with a background supporting children’s social work teams, we would love to hear from you. Apply now to be considered.
