Are you an organised, customer-focused administrator looking for a varied and rewarding role in a busy housing maintenance environment? Central Bedfordshire Council maintains over 5,000 Council-owned homes and has an ambitious programme of development and regeneration — and this Maintenance Coordinator position sits at the heart of that service delivery.

Working within the Housing Service, you will be the key point of contact for residents, trades teams, and internal and external stakeholders, ensuring repairs are diagnosed, scheduled, and completed efficiently. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing repair needs raised through various platforms, scheduling works orders to trades diaries to maximise productivity, managing open orders through to job completion in line with Council policies, and providing excellent, proactive customer service to keep residents informed at every stage.

The role demands strong multitasking ability, as you will be managing competing priorities and collaborating across the Housing Service and wider Council on a daily basis. IT and telephony experience is essential; prior knowledge of a Housing Maintenance Service is desirable. Full training and a structured induction programme will be provided.

This is a temporary position based at Brewers Hill Road, Dunstable, Central Bedfordshire (LU6 1AD), paying between £15.57 and £20.20 per hour. The role is available from 1 June 2026.
