Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Support Officer to join the Change and Integration Programme, a regional team based in Birkenhead that works collaboratively across nine Local Authorities and the wider Health system.
This is a pivotal administrative role sitting at the heart of the programme, supporting a Director and a team of Programme Managers on a range of collaborative public-sector projects. As the lynchpin of the team, you will be instrumental in keeping operations running smoothly across a complex, multi-agency environment.
Key responsibilities include maintaining and developing administrative systems, supporting workstream and board meetings (including minute-taking and agenda preparation), and producing the team newsletter. You will coordinate communications and ensure accurate record-keeping across a busy and varied programme of work.
The role is hybrid, requiring one to two days per week in the Birkenhead office at 2 Alice Square, with the remainder worked remotely. The pay rate is £13.05–£16.64 per hour, with a start date of 1 June 2026.
We are looking for a highly organised administrator with strong written communication skills, experience supporting senior managers, and confidence working within a multi-stakeholder environment. Experience in a local authority or NHS/health setting would be advantageous.
If you are a proactive and detail-oriented administrator ready to make a real contribution to regional public-sector transformation, we would love to hear from you. Please get in touch today.
