*Personal Advisor – Leaving Care – #5302773

Job Description

Darlington Borough Council is seeking a Personal Advisor to join their Leaving Care service, based at Pease House, Darlington (DL1 5QT). This is a temporary role paying £21.02 per hour, starting 1 September 2026.

You will hold a caseload of care leavers aged 18–25, working in line with the Leaving Care Act 2000 and Darlington’s Local Offer for Care Leavers. Responsibilities include regular visits to young people, supporting them across all areas of their lives, maintaining accurate case records, and reviewing Pathway Plans using the Liquid Logic system. You will also co-work a number of 16–17 year olds alongside their Children in Our Care Social Worker, ensuring they are well prepared for the transition out of care.

The role includes duty responsibilities, attendance at team meetings, and regular travel, with supervision provided. Candidates must be comfortable working in the community and managing their own diary.
