Job Description
A locum Occupational Therapist is required at the Recovery Hub South Leeds (LS11) for Leeds City Council, running from 10 August to 13 September 2026 at £19.81 per hour.
Based within the Recovery Hubs, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of Physiotherapists, Nurses, and Support Workers to promote independence, rehabilitation, and safe discharge home for adults across health and social care. The role sits within a rehabilitation-focused service operating a 24-hour therapeutic approach.
Key responsibilities include strengths-based occupational therapy assessments, developing and implementing goal-led rehabilitation and outcome plans, leading discharge planning for individuals returning home, undertaking moving and handling assessments, and maintaining accurate records to statutory standards. You will support adults to maximise independence and return safely to their own homes, adapting intervention plans as needs evolve.
Candidates must hold a recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Experience in community rehabilitation or adult social care services is essential, along with strong clinical reasoning, discharge planning, and multidisciplinary working skills.
