Job Description

Leeds City Council is seeking an experienced Children’s Occupational Therapist to join the Children’s Disability Team, based at Technorth, Harrogate Road, LS7. This is a temporary role running from 31 August to 13 September 2026 at £22.20 per hour, 37 hours per week (08:30–17:00), with hybrid working between home and the LS7 office.

You will manage a complex caseload assessing children with a wide range of physical and behavioural disabilities within their own homes, making recommendations for specialist equipment and adaptations, including complex moving and handling assessments. Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgement, and a commitment to safeguarding children and young people are essential.

Candidates must hold a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC, with proven experience working with children and families and in the provision of specialist equipment, major adaptations, and moving and handling. A full driving licence and use of a car are required, as is a clear DBS.
