We’re keen to recruit an agency Social Worker for an initial 3 month period with the right values and behaviours that can help us ensure our workplace values are at the heart of everything we do.

Our community teams work with adults with various care and support needs. We are looking for a skilled and motivational social worker to work within busy and challenging roles. A significant part of your role will be to engage in social care assessments and interventions utilising a strength based and person centred approach. We are looking for skilled individuals who possess an in depth knowledge and understanding of the Care Act 2014 and other key pieces of legislation.

Central Team – The office base is at Sale Waterside in the centre of Sale town which is in the heart of Trafford. It is very accessible as it’s close to both the M60 and the Sale tram station.

You must possess good communication skills and be able to work proactively with a range of adults applying a clear understanding of the legislative framework for Adult Social Care. In addition you will be required to provide an effective response to safeguarding enquiries in line with both the Care Act 2014 and local policy and procedures.

You will be based in the Central team and will be familiar working within a Multi-Disciplinary environment. Further, you will have knowledge of working within the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and will be able to effectively and professionally challenge to ensure best outcomes for our residents.

About you:
Enthusiastic to engage in adopting outcomes focused and strengths based assessments.
Committed to safeguarding the vulnerable adult population
Experience working in a statutory Adult Social Care service
A qualified Social Worker and have completed the ASYE programme.

About the Role:
A significant part of the role will be to engage in informative and preventative conversations which will include outcomes focused and strengths based social work assessments and related interventions.  You will be required to manage a caseload of work organising your working hours to make best use of your time ensuring this work is balanced with the responsibilities and work demands of the team.  You will build effective professional relationships with other disciplines and with other local health and social care services to enable a coordinated response to the local population.

You must have:

  • A professional qualification in social work

  • Social Work England registration.

  • Post qualified experience.

  • Enhanced DBS/Update service.

  • References required for the last 5 years of employment.
