Family Group Conference and Lifelong Links Coordinator – Family Group Conference Service – #5301668

August 3, 2026
£20 - £20 / hour

Job Description

Durham County Council is recruiting a Family Group Conference and Lifelong Links Coordinator on a temporary basis, based in Nettlesworth (DH2 3PQ), paying £20.29 per hour, starting 3 August 2026.

This is a social care unqualified role within the Family Group Conference Service, which operates across seven days a week to support families in Durham. Workers predominantly manage their own diaries, with the expectation that family members will be seen outside normal working hours where required.

The purpose of the role is to support families to establish safe plans that enable children to remain in the care of their parents or wider family network. The FGC Coordinator holds an independent position within the family support process, working alongside social worker assessments rather than replacing them.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle with business insurance — this is an essential requirement for the role.

For further detail on the Family Group Conference model, visit the Family Rights Group website. If you have relevant experience in family support, community work, or conference coordination and meet the driving requirement, please get in touch promptly.
