Job Description

Doncaster Children’s Services is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join the Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) team, based at Colonnades House. You will provide statutory social work support to unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and young people, ensuring they are safeguarded and supported to achieve positive outcomes. Duties include undertaking assessments, care planning, age assessments, and pathway planning, while addressing the specific needs linked to asylum, immigration, trauma, identity, and transition to adulthood. You will work closely with partner agencies and immigration/legal processes to ensure appropriate support is in place for this vulnerable cohort. A recognised social work qualification and current Social Work England registration are required, along with experience of UASC, asylum, or trauma-informed practice being advantageous.
