Childrens Social Worker – MASH – #000B30BA1

Job Description

Salford City Council is seeking an experienced Childrens Social Worker to join the MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) team, based at Chorley Road, Swinton, Greater Manchester (M27 5DA). This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 2 office days per week.

This post is offered via the GM Collaboration framework at £39 per hour, running from 27 July 2026 to 17 October 2026.

Candidates must be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England, with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience and working at Level 3 status. A full 5-year reference history will be required, with any gaps in employment checked. Relevant qualifications must be evidenced as per the job description and person specification.

Importantly, all applicants must complete the DfE Recommendation Compliance Questions in full before submission — applications will not be progressed without this. The compliance document must be added to the candidate record prior to submission to Salford City Council.
