Job Description

Are you a qualified Social Worker looking for your next locum opportunity in Cheshire? We have an exciting opening for a Children’s Social Worker based at Delamere House, Crewe, paying £39.00 per hour.

This role sits within a children and families service and requires a practitioner who is confident working across child protection, children in need, and looked-after children cases. You will carry a varied caseload, undertaking assessments, contributing to care planning, and working collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.

You will be part of a supportive team environment, with access to regular supervision and the resources needed to deliver high-quality, relationship-based social work practice. The role requires an enhanced DBS check including barred lists for both children and adults.

To be considered, you must hold a recognised social work qualification (BA/MA Social Work or equivalent), be registered with Social Work England, and have demonstrable post-qualifying experience in a children’s social work setting. Strong assessment, recording, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage a demanding caseload effectively.
