Job Description

We are recruiting a Children’s Social Worker for Oldham Council’s Assessment & Intervention Team, based in Oldham, Greater Manchester (OL1 1HD). This is a locum contract running from 27 July 2026 to 30 September 2027, paying £39 per hour.

This role sits within the Greater Manchester Collaboration and requires candidates to meet DfE Recommendation Compliance standards — the DfE Attributes questionnaire must be completed and attached to the candidate record prior to submission. Applications that do not pass the DfE compliance questions will not progress.

Candidates must have a recognised social work qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and be able to evidence a clean five-year employment history with any gaps satisfactorily accounted for.
