Job Description

Barnsley Council is seeking three experienced Children’s Social Workers to join its Targeted Early Help Service on a 3-month interim basis, commencing 1 June 2026.

Based at Worsbrough Primary Care Centre, you will work with families on the cusp of formal social care involvement, holding a caseload of up to 16 families. Your role will focus on completing clear assessments and plans, and working within a multiagency environment to promote safety and wellbeing for children and families.

This is a fully office-based post.

Rate: £35 per hour
Start: 1 June 2026 | End: 1 September 2026
