Trafford’s Families First service is looking for an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join the Child in Need Service, working on a locality basis with children and families requiring social work assessment. The team completes duty on a rota basis, with a varied workload including Section 47 enquiries, child and family assessments, and holding a manageable caseload of children supported through child in need planning. You will build strong relational partnerships with families to enable safe step-down of plans within family timescales. As Advanced Practitioner you will also coach, support and supervise designated staff or students, contributing to their professional development. Candidates need a recognised social work qualification and current Social Work England registration, with relevant experience for this senior/advanced level role. Five years’ referencing and employment gap checks apply, and DfE Recommendation Compliance Questions must be completed prior to submission.
