Job Description

North Tyneside Council is seeking a qualified Social Worker to fill a combined Child Protection Conference Chair and LADO role, based at Quadrant East, North Tyneside (NE27 0BY). Starting 29 June 2026, this is a locum position paying £34.45 per hour via Comensura.

In this role you will chair Child Protection Conferences, covering both Initial Child Protection Conferences (ICPCs) and review conferences. You will also take the lead LADO (Local Authority Designated Officer) function, managing and overseeing responses to allegations made against professionals working with children.

Candidates must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. Previous experience chairing Child Protection Conferences and familiarity with LADO processes is essential.
