Job Description

An Assistant Team Manager is required at Spennymoor Green Lane Council Offices (DL16 6JQ) for Durham County Council, working within the Families First service. This is a non-case-holding role paying £32.73 per hour, available from 27 July 2026.

The successful candidate will support the Team Manager with quality assurance of casework, chairing meetings, providing support and guidance to staff, and overseeing allocation of work across the team. Additional tasks to support the manager and team will be identified as required.

Applicants must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. If you are an experienced senior social worker or assistant team manager with a background in children and families work, please get in touch.
