Job Description

Rochdale Family Support and Protection Service is seeking experienced Advanced Practitioners to join the team on a temporary basis at £40 per hour, running from 27 July to 31 October 2026.

Advanced Practitioners play a vital role in supporting Social Workers and Team Managers in the operational management of the team, contributing to performance, quality, and service improvement — all while maintaining a reduced direct caseload with children and families. Rochdale is currently in an exciting transition into the Families First model, and Advanced Practitioners will play a key part in implementing this transformation to ensure children receive the right help at the right time and can safely remain within their families wherever possible.

The service is looking for candidates with significant experience in child protection, including family safeguarding and care proceedings, strong compliance and recording standards, and experience of supporting NQSWs/ASYEs in the workplace.
