Job Description

Semester Recruitment is seeking an experienced Childrens Advanced Practitioner for Gateshead Council, based at the Civic Centre, NE8 1HH. This is a locum role paying £34.45 per hour, starting 23 June 2026.

Working within the Assessment and Safeguarding Service, you will hold a complex caseload involving Child in Need, Child Protection, and Cared For plans. Some experience of PLO and court work would be advantageous. Please note that in line with the social care reforms planned for October 2026, the role is expected to transition to a Family Help Social Worker position.
