Job Description

Aftercare Worker required at Trafford Council (GM Collaboration), based at Talbot Road, Manchester, M32 0TH. Umbrella rate £24.31 per hour (PAYE £19.11). Start date 1 June 2026, end date 31 July 2026.

Trafford operates a ‘through care’ approach dedicated to children and young people with a permanence plan, supporting their transition to becoming care experienced young people. Practitioners work together to ensure cared-for children and care experienced young people receive consistent, high-quality care.

Key responsibilities include carrying out the duties of a Personal Advisor under the Children Leaving Care Act 2000, supporting care leavers living independently in the community, and working in partnership with other agencies to ensure young people leaving care receive the highest quality of service possible.
