Job Description

Oldham Council (GM Collaboration) is seeking an Adults Social Worker for a locum engagement based in Oldham, OL1 1HD, running from 27 July to 31 December 2026 at £30 per hour.

The role sits within a front-door service — Adult MASH or a Duty Team — and requires demonstrable experience of working in that setting. Hybrid working arrangements are available, with a minimum of three days per week office-based at George Street, Oldham, to be agreed with the Team Manager.

Candidates must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. Three years of references will be required, and any gaps in employment history must be accounted for. Qualifications and experience must be in line with the relevant job description and person specification.
