Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join Manchester’s Adult Social Care Mental Health Service, supporting adults with mental health needs across the city. You will work alongside health colleagues, housing providers, and voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise partners to deliver strengths-based, person-centred and trauma-informed practice that promotes independence, wellbeing, recovery and community inclusion. Joining at a pivotal time as mental health social work transfers into Manchester City Council, you will help shape new pathways and approaches while providing professional social work leadership and statutory excellence. Applicants must hold a recognised Social Work qualification and current registration with Social Work England, with strong experience in adult mental health social work.
