Job Description

Barnet Council is seeking an experienced Adults Lead Practitioner to join their adult social care team in Colindale, London (NW9 4EW). This is a locum role paying £181.80–£250.97 per day, starting 8 June 2026.

In this role you will support the Team Manager in providing clear practice leadership and supervision, promoting the highest professional standards across the service. You will carry out Decision Support Tool (DST) assessments and work with the ICB to determine funding responsibility, drawing on extensive knowledge of adult social care legislation and policy to deliver complex services to adults and carers.

Key responsibilities include complex case supervision, developing and training staff in best practice and specialist areas, managing a small but complex caseload, and responding flexibly to changing business and adult needs.

Candidates must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England, with demonstrable experience in adult social care including DST and ICB funding processes.
