Job Description

Conwy County Borough Council is seeking a qualified Social Worker for a short-term vacancy within its Older People and Hospital Social Work Services, based at Eirias Park, Colwyn Bay.

This is a 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday role expected to run for approximately 12 weeks with potential for extension, paying £28.01–£36.69 per hour. The post is office-based and candidates must be locally based or within commutable distance of Conwy County.

You will deliver a high-quality social work service to vulnerable adults, working directly with citizens, carers, and families to promote resilience and independence, ensuring individuals remain at the centre of decisions about their own lives and desired outcomes.

Key requirements:
– Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience
– Registered with Social Care Wales
– Demonstrable experience in Older People and/or Hospital Social Work settings
– Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and IT skills
