Job Description

Qualified Social Worker required for the Child Protection Team at Newport City Council, covering maternity leave for 6 months on a 4 days per week basis. This is a hands-on child protection role managing a caseload of children subject to safeguarding processes, undertaking assessments, planning and statutory intervention in line with Welsh safeguarding procedures. The role offers a blended working pattern with an expectation of 2 days in the office and 2 days working remotely. Applicants must be a qualified and registered Social Worker with relevant Child Protection experience.
