Job Description

Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead within its busy and creative Children in Care Service. You will manage day-to-day operations of the team, overseeing care planning for children and young people with a focus on achieving permanence at the earliest opportunity. Working through a trauma-informed, relationship-based practice lens, you will lead and coach a team of social workers, ensuring high standards of practice and positive outcomes for children in care and those subject to care proceedings. You will collaborate with professionals across the Trust and partner agencies, uphold organisational values, and use management information systems to drive quality and performance. Strong leadership, resilience, and excellent people-management skills are essential, along with the ability to support practitioners in making best-interest decisions in line with regulatory and best practice guidelines.
