Job Description

Rochdale’s Early Help and Safeguarding HUB (EHASH) is seeking a qualified Childrens Social Worker to act as one of the first decision makers for contacts coming into social care. You will review incoming information, liaise with partner agencies, and provide direction on next steps, signposting families to appropriate services and offering informal advice and supervision to colleagues across disciplines within the HUB.

Working closely with locality leads, you will help meet families’ needs early and avoid escalation to specialist services, applying sound judgement on thresholds of need and risk. The team values social workers who are solution-focused, proportionate, and creative in supporting families.

Candidates must hold HCPC registration, provide at least two years of references, and be willing to undergo Enhanced DBS, barring, and ID checks. This is a temporary post based in Rochdale, paying £39.00 per hour.
