Job Description

Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking a Senior Social Worker to provide expert practice leadership across the full casework cycle for children, young people and their families. This role carries a complex caseload requiring advanced social work knowledge and judgement, alongside a key responsibility for mentoring, coaching and providing informal supervision to less experienced and newly qualified social workers. You will support the Team Manager in driving high standards of practice and continuous service improvement, represent the department in multi-agency forums and court proceedings, and contribute to performance reporting and practice development initiatives. Candidates must be a qualified, registered Social Worker with significant post-qualifying experience and a strong working knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice standards.
