Job Description

Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking a Senior Social Worker to safeguard and promote the welfare of some of the City’s most vulnerable children and young people. You will hold a complex caseload, completing statutory assessments and interventions, and creating and reviewing child protection and children in care plans through multi-agency working. The role involves liaising with partner agencies, preparing high-quality case recordings and reports, and presenting to conferences, courts and panels in line with statutory procedures. You will work within the Professional Capability Framework and Social Work England’s Code of Practice, supported by regular supervision from your Team Manager and encouraged to pursue ongoing professional development. Applicants must be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England, with relevant children’s social care experience. A DBS check will be required for this post.
