Job Description

Advanced Practitioner opportunity within a front-line children’s safeguarding team covering South Kesteven District East, based from offices in Grantham with free on-site parking. You will hold cases from referral through to closure, including CIN, CP and Care Proceedings, with no change of social worker throughout. Key duties include completing section 47 investigations, assessments of children and families where safeguarding concerns have been raised, and compiling assessments and court reports for private and public law proceedings. The team runs a three-weekly duty rota (one week on duty, two off), with office-based attendance required during duty weeks to pick up new referrals and carry out initial visits. A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualifying experience in a permanent, front-line safeguarding role is essential, along with experience and training in section 47 investigations.
