Job Description

A qualified Social Worker is required for a time-limited project reviewing individuals living in an in-house Supported Living scheme for Mental Health in Calderdale. The role involves conducting assessments using both Section 117 aftercare and the Care Act 2014, alongside strengths-based assessment and care planning. Although not part of a wider permanent team due to the project nature, the successful candidate will have access to supportive colleagues within the Mental Health Social Work Team for local knowledge and procedure. The role is hybrid, with home working days negotiated on appointment, and will require travel throughout Calderdale to visit supported living houses, so a driving licence is essential and living near the Calderdale area is preferred. Candidates must hold relevant social work qualification and registration, with proven experience in mental health assessment work. Must be available to start by 14th September 2026.
